More Than 500 Teddy Bears to be Distributed
by Desert Outreach Foundation's 'Children in Crisis' Program
10 Organizations to Receive Bears in Support of National Child Abuse Prevention Month
From April 26 to April 30, 2010, the Desert Outreach Foundation will be delivering more than 500 bears to local organizations with child abuse treatment and prevention programs as well as to hospitals and police departments. As part of the Foundation's "Children in Crisis" Program, teddy bears are delivered to these organizations each April in support of the National Child Abuse Prevention Month.
Local organizations receiving the bears are: Child Protective Services-Riverside County, Shelter From the Storm, Healthy Family Living Foundation, Barbara Sinatra Children's Center, Betty Ford Center- Children's Program, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for Children, Olive Crest Homes and Services for Abused Children, Desert Regional Medical Center, JFK Memorial Hospital, and the Palm Desert Police Department.
